Question from Querencia
Most couples begin their relationship with a sense of discovery. In the early days, we ask questions, listen carefully and pay attention to the details. We slowly build an understanding of the other person’s world: what they love, what stresses them, what makes them laugh, what they dream about and what matters most to them.
But over time, it is easy to assume we already know. We share routines, conversations, responsibilities and familiar rhythms. We may see each other every day, yet still miss the quiet ways the other person is growing, changing or carrying something new.
This question deck has been created to help you slow down and reconnect with each other’s world. Some questions may spark meaningful conversation. Some may reveal something surprising. Others may simply bring back things once shared but long unspoken.
For couples who have been together for years, we hope these questions help you keep noticing who the other person is becoming. For couples who are just starting out, we hope they help you build the kind of relationship where knowing and being known continue to deepen over time.

Safety, privacy and how the app works
Questions from Querencia is a guided conversation app designed to help people slow down, listen well and ask better questions. It is not counselling, crisis support, therapy, or professional advice.
Some questions are light and playful. Others may invite more reflection. Use the questions at a pace that feels right. You can skip any question, pause the conversation, or stop using the app at any time.
Your privacy
The app does not require an account, login, email address, or personal profile.
If you write notes inside the app, those notes are saved only on your own device. We do not receive, store, read, or share your answers.
The app does not send your written responses to Querencia or to anyone else.
How the app works
Questions from Querencia is a standalone web app. When you open it from our website, your phone downloads the app files, including the questions, layout, images and app behaviour.
If you add it to your Home Screen, it will stay on your device like an app until you choose to remove it.
The app may also store some files locally so it can open more quickly and continue working more smoothly.
Updates
We may update the app from time to time by adding, removing, improving, or reorganising questions.
When you open the app while connected to the internet, your device may download the latest version. The app does not connect back to the original spreadsheet or source files. The questions are built into the app version that is uploaded online.
Notes and saved data
If you use the notes feature, your notes are stored locally on your device. Completed question ticks are also stored locally on your device.
You can use the Delete saved notes option inside the app to remove your written notes from that device.
Removing the app from your Home Screen or clearing your browser website data may also remove locally stored app data.
Important relationship safety note
The app is designed to support conversation, not force disclosure. You do not need to answer every question.
If a question feels too personal, too difficult, or likely to create conflict, skip it. If a conversation becomes heated or distressing, pause and return to it later, or seek support from a trusted and appropriately qualified person.
Some future versions of the app may include deeper or more sensitive question sets. Those should be used with greater care and, where appropriate, with pastoral, counselling, or facilitator support.
